PW - Postmodern music videos

Music videos can be considered as being postmodern because there is a lot of intertextuality and bricolage. These music videos set trends, create inspiration for young viewers and the audience copies certain trends and styles that the artist/band shows. The genre of music creates groups within the audience, this is because certain genres convey different styles. However, the postmodern idea can also be considered as negative because some people say that postmodernism is an easy way of creating something new by simply copying other ideas.
