While analysing several music videos by either technical analysis or deconstruction analysis we also have looked at other music videos during the process of research. This is so we can create our own ideas and by watching other music videos it gives us inspiration so that our own music video will be just as good.
Whilst browsing numerous tracks, I looked at the music video by Plan B. Plan B is in the same genre of our track by Jamie T which is why I looked at it. I have chosen to analyse Plan B because he uses the same lo-fi style music videos as Jamie T which will prove to be helpful with our own production.
Here is the music video 'Pieces' by Plan B.
The main thing I noticed about this music video was when the chorus starts the camera shots that are used are excellent. The chorus uses a number of close up shots of the main character walking down a road looking angry, it then shows his point of view as he is going down the road at a high speed. The location changes behind him frequently which keeps the pace of the video high.
By looking at this music video we have discussed the ideas used and we want to use some of the camera shot ideas that were used in this music video. However, we will not directly copy this video we will just adapt their ideas into our own and add our own creativity to it.
